About Footsteps

Footsteps is a quarterly newsletter for health and development workers. Through it, Tearfund hopes to provide encouragement, inspiration and practical ideas for Christians often working with little access to funding, training or resources. It aims to share information, ideas, contacts and experience in a Christian context at grassroots level. Footsteps encourages a holistic approach to development and seeks to build up local capacity.

Each issue concentrates on a different topic. Recent issues have included topics such as literacy, theatre in development, financial management, pollution, facilitation skills, water and the impact of HIV on children. Over 60 issues have now been produced. This site contains back copies of all issues which you can search by topic.

It is produced in seven languages – English, French (Pas á Pas), Spanish (Paso a Paso), Portuguese (Passo a Passo), Chinese, Bangla and Hindi.

If you would like to be added to the Footsteps mailing list, e-mail footsteps@tearfund.org or write to Footsteps mailing list, PO Box 200, Bridgnorth, WV16 4WQ, UK. Please provide your postal address and brief details of your work, and state your preferred language (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Bangla, Hindi or Chinese).

Readers are invited to contribute views, articles, letters and photos by writing to the address above.

Articles and illustrations from Footsteps may be adapted for use in training materials encouraging health and development provided the materials are distributed free of charge and that credit is given to Footsteps, Tearfund.

Please note that opinions and views expressed in the letters and articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editor or Tearfund. Technical information supplied in Footsteps is checked as thoroughly as possible, but we cannot accept responsibility should any problems occur.
