Using ROOTS

There are many ways in which ROOTS publications can be used:

  • They can be read by individuals and referred to when necessary
  • They can be worked through and discussed by a group of staff members during regular meetings
  • They can be used during a workshop. The Advocacy toolkit is written in workshop form and contains handouts. Many of the other books contain suggested workshop timetables at the back.
  • The contents could be adapted for use in schools, newspapers and radio programmes. This may be done without special permission, as long as acknowledgement is given to ROOTS.
